Coffee prices have risen. Demand is up as a result of the improving global economy. Brazil, for example, has seen demand for coffee increase because people are going back to work in their cubicles! Because the economies of the developing world are improving, the movement from the farm to the cities has increased. That means less coffee farmers. Supply is reduced slightly. Lastly, weather related problems, notably too much rain in Colombia and Nicaragua, affected the crop forecasts. Therefore, coffee futures, and the price we pay today have risen. See this article for more information.
We've raised our prices accordingly. The increase is modest and our coffee still remains a great value. Visit our online store and enjoy the freshest, finest roasted beans anywhere.
